The drinks, available starting on Tuesday, Oct. 22, come a month ahead of the musical movie’s theatrical release on Nov. 22. Glinda’s Pink Potion takes the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher and makes it even more magical. The fruity drink is shaken with coconut milk and freeze-dried dragonfruit. The already-neon beverage gets extra pops of color with strawberry non-dairy cold foam and sprinkles on top. Elphaba’s Cold Brew is also color-coordinated to the witchy character. Peppermint-flavored cold brew is layered with non-dairy matcha-flavored cold foam and green sprinkles. PEOPLE staffers got a first look and taste of the drinks and are singing their praises. Starbucks' 'Wicked'-themed mugs include mentions of Munchkinland and Emerald City. Starbucks The Elphaba beverage earned high marks all around. The subtle hint of peppermint in the cold brew and earthiness from the matcha cold foam made for sips that were “not overpowering, just perfect,” according to one staffer. The green and brown layers are mesmerizing and the drink stays on theme even after the two have blended — it turns into a muted green that "gives melted-witch vibes." The Glinda drink was perfectly pink. The combination of dragonfruit and strawberry cold foam means it's a sweeter beverage for sure, but everyone agreed that it would be loved by younger Wicked fans looking for a less-caffeinated drink. Both creations benefited from the crunchy texture of sprinkles on top. Starbucks is also selling 'Wicked'-inspired drinkware on Nov. 7. Starbucks Wicked-inspired gift cards will be available starting on Oct. 22 and two weeks later, on Nov. 7, themed drinkware will also be sold nationwide. There will be pink and green cold cups (some with fun straw toppers!), tumblers, keychains, and mugs. The goodies are inspired by the two main characters but also the land of Oz. The mugs feature Munchkinland, Emerald City and Shiz University. Starbucks is not the only place hopping on the Wicked yellow brick road — restaurants and stores across the country are dropping products inspired by the Broadway show-turned-film. Lay's 'Do Us a Flavor' Chip Contest Returns with a $1M Prize — Plus 5 Past Flavors Are Back (Exclusive) Walmart released themed microwaveable macaroni and cheese that features either pink or green "color-changing" cheese. Target also has a Wicked shop with a ton of exciting merch, like a Stanley tumbler and Wicked sweaters. Wicked will be released in two parts.
