She watches more TV than the average person — and has lots of opinions about it. She has a keen interest in ingredients and alopecia due to her own experiences.She was an editor for the book Beauty Stories from Around the World by Doreen Bloch, which is a collection of essays highlighting beauty practices across cultures around the globe. Prior to working in commerce, she worked in branded content and traditional editorial, specializing in long-form storytelling. She's most proud of her profiles of Black women in the beauty industry and her commerce work with brands she loves.Outside of her media work, Shalwah is a self-proclaimed fitness geek.
