It sounds like there’s never a dull moment in Scarlett Johansson and husband Colin Jost’s relationship.

Appearing on Live with Kelly and Mark on Tuesday, Nov. 26, to discuss her skincare line The Outset, the actress gushed about the Saturday Night Live star, 42, as she opened up about him throwing her a “humongous bash” for her 40th birthday earlier this month.

“He’s a good guy… He is a very, very, very great guy. I’m extremely lucky. He’s a kind person and he’s hilarious and thoughtful and loving and he’s a great dad and I love him. I feel very, very lucky,” Johansson said, before noting one of Jost’s other qualities, “But he’s also, he’s got his naughty side. He keeps it interesting.”

“How’s that boat?” co-host Mark Consuelos then asked, referring to when Jost and his former SNL costar Pete Davidson bought a Staten Island Ferry in 2022 for $280,000.

“That’s the naughty part I was talking about,” Johansson responded. “He bought the Staten Island Ferry. A Decommissioned Staten Island Ferry. And it is, yep, still decommissioned.”

“They actually did — I was like, ‘What’s happening with this boat? It’s got to start paying for its own docking fees at least!’ So this year they had the Tommy Hilfiger fashion show on the Staten Island Ferry!” she continued.

“I was like, ‘Fashion people are coming on the Staten Island Ferry? What’s happening with the bathrooms? Surely you renovated the bathrooms?’ Johansson explained. “And he was like, ‘No, I don’t actually know…’ You can still see, you can basically see everybody from [chest up to knee down] in the toilets. it’s like being in elementary school. So I was like, ‘I can’t wait to hear how that goes…’ ”

“Well that would be exciting to see like, Anna Wintour in the toilet in the Staten Island Ferry,” quipped co-host Kelly Ripa.

“It was a big success though! Huge success!” continued Johansson. “So if anybody has like a bat mitzvah they need to throw, go to rentaferry.com. It’ll really make our family happy.”

“Is that real?” Ripa asked of the website,

“No I need to make that happen right now,” Johansson, 54, joked.

Speaking to PEOPLE about Hilfiger, 73, hosting his SS25 show on the ferry during New York Fashion Week in September, Jost called the moment “very surreal.”

"I thought that Tommy and everyone who organized the event really did a great job," Jost told PEOPLE while on the ferry. "I was saying while watching the show that it's almost like [the ferry] was kind of built for something like this, the way the seating is laid out and seeing the people move around the deck.”

He and Johansson married in 2020 after first being romantically linked in 2017. They share one child together, son Cosmo, 3. Johansson is also mom to daughter Rose, 10, whom she shares with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac.

Sharing a further glimpse into the party Jost threw for her to celebrate her milestone birthday, Johansson told Live with Kelly and Mark, “It was a surprise. And I had all the martinis for everyone and I can’t wait to see the photos so I can remember the night. It was like a “This is your life.’ So many of my friends and colleagues came from all over the place and it was just, it was magical. And he put it all together!”

“He’s very good at gift-giving,” Johansson added. “He always buys beautiful jewelry.”
