People Editorial Guidelines Updated on February 24, 2024 09:49PM EST America Ferrera brought her own fashion fairytale to the 2024 SAG Awards red carpet. The actress, 39, who stars in Barbie, wowed in yet another gorgeous glam look for Saturday night's award show, styled by Karla Welch. Ferrera wore a custom Dior Haute Couture black wool and silk crepe dress with white organza sleeves. "It feels like a princess fairytale moment - princess fairytale Barbie that's me," she shared on E!'s Live from the Red Carpet pre-show of the gorgeous custom look. She finished the look with over 30 carats of diamonds from De Beers, including a show-stopping chocker boasting more than 20 carats. Ferrera, who is on hand at the award show with her cast, who are all nominated for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture for the Greta Gerwig-directed film that was released last summer, really let her style run wild during the movie's press tour and during award season. She told PEOPLE last month that working with Welch on putting together outfits specifically for Barbie promo was so much fun because her stylist is a "killer" who really knows what she's doing. And when pressed to pick a favorite, Ferrera waffled a bit before landing on the all-leather set when she was in South Korea. "I mean, I've loved so many of the outfits, so it's very hard to pick. But I remember putting this on and being like, 'This is exactly how I feel.'" Han Myung-Gu/WireImage Ferrera told PEOPLE that the bold leather look — plus the hair and makeup — made her feel like a "badass," adding, "I felt strong." "I love wearing a dress, but there's something about pants and heels that make me feel tall because I'm a whopping 5'2", so I love being in high heels, but a great pant look just feels like that's my true inner look," Ferrera said. "What's so brilliant about [Karla] is she is never putting clothes on me. She's always helping bring through the way I want to feel. Sometimes that's soft and feminine, and sometimes that's va va voom. And other times it's, like, badass boss in a pantsuit. I would say that I probably feel the most like myself in a badass pantsuit."
