People Editorial Guidelines Published on January 29, 2019 08:28AM EST Kate Middleton and Prince William headed back to the start of their love story on Tuesday. The couple visited Dundee, just 15 miles north of the university town of St. Andrews where they first met and fell in love. Kate wore a green tartan coat by Alexander McQueen (her wedding dress designer!) that she previously sported for the royal family’s Christmas church service outing back in 2013. She completed her look on Tuesday with a green purse, black tights and heels. The royal parents — who graduated from the University of St. Andrews in 2005 — were there to officially open the Victoria and Albert Museum before meeting locals on the seafront, which has undergone a $1.3 billion redevelopment. Princess Kate delivered a speech as she and William officially opened V & A Dundee – which is Scotland’s first design museum. “I hope that this museum will serve as an inspiration to others, by showing how great things can be achieved when different communities all pull together,” she said before declaring the museum “officially” opened. Tim Rooke/REX/Shutterstock The art history graduate, 37, is patron of the V & A, and she has a keen interest in promoting the “visual arts and highlighting the value that public institutions like the Dundee site can offer local communities,” said a statement from Kensington Palace, “particularly in terms of increased accessibility to world-class art and design.” Kate Middleton. William is set to thank workers and their families at the Michelin Action Group to help ease the loss of the factory and find new, sustainable opportunities. William and Kate last visited Dundee in 2015, a day that included a chat with young people about mental health. Kate Middleton and Prince William. Tim Rooke/REX/Shutterstock Kate Middleton.
