Ron DeSantis is a far-right American politician from Jacksonville, Florida. He has served as the governor of Florida since 2019 and was a major candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. DeSantis represented Florida's 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House from 2013 to 2018.
