Post Malone will be the new kid in town at Joe Walsh’s upcoming benefit concert!

The Eagles rocker announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9 that Malone is joining the star-studded lineup of his annual VetsAid benefit concert, which is set to take place at UBS Arena in New York on Nov. 11.

The “I Had Some Help” singer, 29, will join Eric Church, Toto, Kool & the Gang and Walsh himself on the bill, along with Drew Carey as DJ. Though mostly known for his earlier pop and hip-hop hits, Malone recently made a foray into the country world with his latest album F-1 Trillion.

“VetsAid is for EVERYONE: fans of all ages, backgrounds and musical genres,” Walsh, 76, said in a statement. “So who better to join the party than Posty - the man who can do it all? And do it so well?! Mix in the best of country with Eric, rock with Toto and funk with Kool and The Gang and you have a VetsAid for the ages. What better way to honor our veterans and their families this Veterans Day than with a night you will never forget?”

Walsh — the son of an Air Force flight instructor who died in a plane crash in Okinawa — launched VetsAid in 2017, and the event has since raised more than $3 million for smaller, vet-run support groups and organizations across the country.

“There was no support group for my mom and me,” he told PEOPLE last year. “They were just, ‘Oh, that’s a shame. That’s too bad.’ But I grew up without a dad, always wondering what he would’ve thought, and always wanting to make him proud of me. So I have always been resonant to the families when dad doesn’t come home, or when a loved one doesn’t come home from war.”

The “Life’s Been Good” singer added that he loves VetsAid each year because “everybody comes, and it’s beautiful, because it’s just one big family.”

Walsh is currently on the Eagles’ farewell tour, which began last year and will end in February after more than a dozen dates at Sphere in Las Vegas.

“When the Eagles play, people come and sit next to each other and everybody gets along. And for two-and-a-half hours, we play, and they know the words better than us,” he told PEOPLE. “There’s so much love coming at us from the audience that we play our ass off and everybody goes home happier. I’m so blessed to be able to do that at 75 years old. And that’s a gift of sobriety—I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
