There's a new Mann in town!

The Voice season 2 finalist Chris Mann and wife Laura welcomed their second child, son Rocky Conor Mann, on Monday, Jan. 11, in Los Angeles, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. The newborn weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz., and measured 20 inches in length.

Chris tells PEOPLE that their 3-year-old son Hugo chose the moniker for the new addition.

"Laura and I were tossing baby names around for a while and thought we'd settled on one," he says. "But when we asked Hugo what he thought his baby brother should be named, he immediately said, 'Rocky!' Laura and I looked at each other and smiled and said, 'I kinda love it!' From that moment, we called the growing baby Rocky, and it just felt right."

The birth was a bit "dramatic," says the new dad of two, recounting how they were face to face with their new son within minutes of making it to the hospital. In fact, he was nearly born in the car on the way. "It was straight out of a movie," Chris says. "We were just trying to take it easy at home when Laura's labor went from zero to 100 in about an hour."

Since Laura had a long labor with her first son, she tried convincing herself she was just feeling early labor pains. "Our bags weren't even packed," Laura says, "Chris shoved some stuff in a bag and threw it in the car."

"I was driving like James Bond — if he were driving an ambulance while having a panic attack," adds Chris. "I was honking the horn with the flashers on, waving my hands out the window while Laura was literally crowning in the passenger seat."

"It's ironic," Laura says, "I was joking with friends last week how great it would be if this time labor was so fast, we just had the baby in the car. I didn't really mean it, though! Chris decided the best way to be supportive was to try and match my wailing during my contractions while weaving through traffic. He was just yelling his head off every time I had a contraction! It was like some kind of horrifying labor duet, but I do think it helped."

Upon arrival at the hospital, Laura, 38, gave birth in an operating room almost immediately as there were no delivery rooms available. "It was like an ER episode," Chris recalls. "The nurses were incredible. It was controlled chaos."

"I was overwhelmed," Chris continues. "Laura was in so much pain and that's scary to watch. ... She was a champion. There's no way I could ever do it."

"The fact that there was a baby in my arms five minutes after we got to the hospital is mind-blowing. We were in total shock. I was wonderfully relieved," says Laura.

Last week, Chris, 38, shared his excitement for the family's new arrival with a sweet post on Instagram. The heartwarming photo features Chris holding onto Hugo as the toddler rests his head on Laura's baby bump.

"We are counting down the days until we become a family of four," he wrote. "Laura is making it look easy and the baby has, so far, obeyed my command to not arrive until next week so I can finish some big work projects, make a last min @ikeausa run, and complete some YouTube tutorials to remember how to swaddle."

Chris and Laura tied the knot in a private garden overlooking the mountains in Malibu, Calif., in July 2013. After the ceremony at Maravilla Gardens, guests enjoyed a fiesta-themed party complete with Latin music, margaritas and even churro flavored cupcakes. The theme was based on the Mexican restaurant, El Centro, in New York where the pair met seven years before the wedding. (They were engaged in summer 2012.)

"It is our favorite place on earth and all of our friends over the last seven years with us know this is our spot. So it was only appropriate to recreate this El Centro love that we have in our California way," Chris told PEOPLE at the time.
