On Tuesday, July 16, the “Stick Season” singer played his second sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, where he delighted fans with his twangy alt-rock anthems. During his electric set, the Vermont native, 27, opened up to the audience about previously living in New York. “It feels like a second home to me, and I want to say thank you guys for showing up to me. I know it’s the middle of the f---ing week,” Kahan said, before joking, deadpan: “My only goal tonight is to leave everybody a little less happy than when they walked in. I am disappointed in the overwhelming positivity in this room. It’s pissing me off.” For nearly two hours, the Grammy-nominated star led the crowd in sing-alongs of his hits and fan-favorites, from “All My Love” to “She Calls Me Back.” Noah Kahan Jokes About Pressure to Follow Up Hit Album 'Stick Season': 'If It Stinks, It Stinks' (Exclusive) Noah Kahan performing in Austin, Texas, in June 2024. I love you, Mom.” Several fans enjoyed the show from a suite in the arena courtesy of Marriott Bonvoy Moments, which offers its members access to experiences around the world through points earned through the program. Kevin Mazur/Getty As the concert wound down, Kahan closed the show with his smash hit “Stick Season” — and invited a surprise guest, “Soup” singer Remi Wolf, onstage to perform the track with him as a duet. The night before at MSG, he performed the single with tour opener James Bay, and he’s previously played the song with artists including Renée Rapp and Towa Bird. Kahan and Bay's MSG appearance also marked a full-circle moment. Early on in his career, Kahan actually opened for the "Hold Back the River" singer on tour, so he invited Bay to hit the stage for his own sold-out dates at the Garden and Boston's Fenway Park this week. And they're also collaborators: Bay will release his new single "Up All Night" featuring Kahan and Lumineers on July 19. Kahan, who released his breakthrough album Stick Season in October 2022 — will continue to tour and play the festival circuit in the U.S. and overseas through September. Close
