On Sunday, after news of the arrest broke, Lahren, 26, tweeted, “I got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight ICE agents ready to deport ya,” referencing the lyrics of rapper’s song “Bank Account.” “Don’t make me get my leash,” Cardi, also 26, responded, referring to a previous tweet where she told Lahren that she would “dog walk” her. 21 Savage was arrested on Sunday by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which claims the rapper is actually a citizen of the United Kingdom and has overstayed his visa, according to multiple reports. ICE spokesman Brian Cox told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the 26-year-old rapper, born Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested in a “targeted operation” early on Sunday morning. Roy Rochlin/Getty Images Cox reportedly said the rapper is an “unlawfully present United Kingdom national” who entered the country legally as a teenager in July 2005 on a visa, which expired the following year. ICE and reps for 21 Savage did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment. Cardi B Slams Tomi Lahren in Feud Over Trump and Border Wall: ‘I Will Dog Walk You’ Lahren and Cardi’s exchange regarding the rapper is the latest since their feud began in January, after Cardi criticized President Donald Trump for refusing to end the federal government shutdown over his controversial border wall. “Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys!” Lahren wrote in response to Cardi’s comments, shortly after Cardi criticized Trump for calling some federal employees back to work without being paid in an expletive-filled Instagram rant. Cardi then responded by telling Lahren, “Leave me alone I will dog walk you.” Lahren went on to insult Cardi’s intelligence, writing, “I’m sure you would. Still doesn’t make your political rambling any less moronic.” Tomi Lahren Addresses Cardi B’s Threat to ‘Dog-Walk’ Her: ‘I Would Never Get Away with That’ “You’re so blinded with racism that you don’t even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much,” the rapper wrote back in a fiery response. “You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!” Lahren later addressed the exchange during an appearance on FOX & Friends on Jan. 23. “To put it pretty simply, I saw that video that she had posted and I implied that maybe Cardi B isn’t the person we should be taking our political advice from,” Lahren said. “It took her a few days, but she responded and instead of arguing about the merits of her political argument, she said that she was going to ‘dog walk’ me. And viewers can look up on Urban Dictionary what ‘dog walking’ someone means but to put it simply, it’s to severely beat somebody up. So we go from a political disagreement to I want to hurt you.” In an Instagram Live at the time, Cardi explained that she’s “so tired of people insulting me.” “A lot of people think I’m dumb, think I’m ghetto because of the way I talk…but just because I’m that it doesn’t make me dumb and one thing I really want y’all to understand about me, I’m a very passionate person when it comes to history and when it comes to political things, and I always been like that,” she shared. “It just really gets me upset when people say, ‘Oh you doin’ this s—, you’re dumb, you shouldn’t be talking about this shit’… This is a passion that I have,” she continued, before explaining that in addition to taking AP history and government classes in high school, she has spent a lot of her free time researching world history.
