The Bohemian Rhapsody star has scored a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, won the Golden Globe and has been lucky when it comes to finding love. Malek, 37, confirmed his romance with his costar Lucy Boynton at the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Film Awards Gala earlier this month with a sweet shoutout to the 24-year-old actress while accepting the award for breakthrough performance. “Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, you are my love,” he said. “I appreciate you so much.” Boynton plays Mary Austin in the film, Mercury’s former fiancée and lifelong confidant who inherited half of his estate when he died from complications of AIDS in 1991. In August, the two were spotted grabbing lunch together in Los Angeles while walking arm-in-arm. At one point, they shared a kiss while sitting next to each other while grabbing food. He was also nominated for best male actor in a leading role at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards which air this Sunday on CBS.
