All the Cutest Photos From Jennifer Garner's Walk of Fame Ceremony with Her Three Adorable Kids

In a ceremony on Aug. 20, 2018, actress Jennifer Garner received the honor of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Garner was joined for the occasion by her children, her parents William and Patricia Garner, as well as her sisters Susannah and Melissa and their families.

The actress brought along her three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck: Samuel Garner, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth and Violet Anne. It was a rare public appearance with the kids, and the three smiled wide as they celebrated with their mom.

Samuel seemed to be hamming it up for the cameras and at one point gave sister Seraphina a tight squeeze.

Right by Garner's side was her oldest child Violet, who is a spitting image of the actress.

The West Virginia native once spoke about raising her kids in Los Angeles. "It's really important for my kids to see that everyone doesn't have the lives they see in Los Angeles," Garner told Southern Living magazine in 2017. "That doesn't reflect the rest of the world. I want them to grow up with the Southern values I had — to look at people when they say hello and to stop and smell the roses."

Samuel even jumped into his mom's arms at one point and gave her a sweet kiss after making funny faces at the cameras.

The actress spoke directly to her children as she accepted the award, saying, "When you walk over this star, I want you to remember that this is about hard work and good luck and not a whole lot else."

She continued, "You define me, not this wonderful spot on the pavement."

"Also, for the record, don't spend too much time on Hollywood Boulevard," she laughed.

Garner, who is her family's middle child, also posed with her sisters Susannah Kay Garner Carpenter (left) and Melissa Garner.

In her speech, Garner thanked her mother, saying, "It was your non-judgmental, infinitely loving acceptance of me and whatever I hoped for myself that made this possible."

Garner's costars from every stage of her career came out to honor her, including Steve Carell from 2014's Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, Judy Greer from 2004's 13 Going on 30 and Bryan Cranston from 2016's Wakefield.

Garner also turned heads for another special reason — she was matching with Meghan Markle!

The Golden Globe winner opted to wear Roland Mouret's Barwick Dress for the special occasion, the same outfit that Markle was spotted in on May 18, 2018 — just before becoming a married woman. While making her way into the Cliveden House Hotel with her mother Doria Ragland the night before her royal wedding. Markle sported the off-the-shoulder navy dress as she told reporters she was feeling "wonderful."
