The nominations for the 91st Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning in Los Angeles beginning with Tracee Ellis Ross and Kumail Nanjiani acting as hosts. Bradley Cooper Snubbed by Oscars for Best Director — And More Nomination Shockers The Favourite and Roma tied for most nominations with 10 each. Roma got a boost from both Yalitza Aparicio and Marina de Tavira pulling in surprise nominations in the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories, respectively. The Favourite also made history with all three of its leading ladies nominated, with Olivia Colman facing steep competition in Best Actress and Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz up against each other in Best Supporting Actress. Could Glenn Close and Lady Gaga Tie for the Best Actress Oscar? A Star Is Born walked away with 8 nominations, although Bradley Cooper was snubbed in the Best Director category.
