Jason Momoa and Zoë Kravitz's Photos Together Through the Years

Momoa didn't walk the red carpet with stepdaughter Zoë at the N.Y.C. premiere of The Batman in March 2022, but he showed up with kids Lola and Nakoa-Wolf to support the actress, who plays Selina Kyle (a.k.a. Catwoman) in the film.

"He loves Zoë and always has. That hasn't changed," a source close to Momoa told PEOPLE. "He believes in family. He's always said that, and him going [to the premiere] is to show support for the family. That's what he does. And that's who he is. It's not more complicated than that."

The source added, "Family comes before anything for him. It's all very comfortable with Jason. That's who he is."

Zoë also expressed her appreciation for Momoa's continued support on the red carpet. 

"It's amazing to have people who love you show up at these major events in your life. It's really special," Zoë told PEOPLE.

Momoa and Zoë's former Pussy Island costar and boyfriend, Channing Tatum, hopped a plane to N.Y.C. on Feb. 28, 2022, for The Batman premiere the following day, but not before posing together and Momoa voicing support for their mutual special lady.

"CHEEEEHUUUUUUUU. SO EXCITED @channingtatum and I are on our way to see our ZOZO," Momoa captioned the photos on Instagram.

The actor also shared that he was "beyond proud" of Zoë.  

At the premiere, Momoa spoke with PEOPLE (The TV Show!)'s Jeremy Parsons and called Tatum a "wonderful" person. Not that Zoë needed boyfriend approval from her stepdad, but she has it all the same.

The all-dressed-up duo united to present the nominees and winners in two separate best actress categories at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards. Momoa was originally supposed to present with Octavia Spencer, but Zoë stepped in after the Hidden Figures actress fell ill.

After Zoë landed the role of Catwoman in The Batman in 2019, Momoa shared a sweet post on Instagram.  

"I'm so proud of u zozo bear. On and off screen OHANA. DC WB ohana Lola and Wolfies big sister is CAT WOMAN😍😍😍," he wrote. "Unbelievable so freaking stoked. Your going to have so much fun Aloha P bear."

Zoë replied to the post, "LOVE YOU PAPABEAR! love that aquaman and catwomen spend the holidays together from now on."

The pair walked the red carpet together at Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con bash in San Diego in July 2018. They were at Comic-Con to promote their own projects — Momoa was on hand to unveil the Aquaman trailer, while Zoë took part in a Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald panel.

When Zoë graced the cover of Elle for the December 2017 issue, Momoa was there to celebrate her achievement.

"Congrats @zoeisabellakravitz You are one of the greatest humans I've ever met I'm so proud of you," he wrote alongside a photo of him smiling and holding the magazine. "See u soon. Love papa bear."

In the summer of 2016, "Proud papa" Momoa shared an adorable family photo (minus Bonet) with Zoë and her younger siblings.

"Finally with my babies Summer is going to be epic," he wrote.

He's a cool dad: In September 2015, Momoa credited Zoë on Instagram for introducing him to the musician Twin Shadow.

Like her superstar father, Zoë is also a singer, collaborating with artists like Taylor Swift, Janelle Monáe and Rae Sremmurd. She also portrayed the lovesick record store owner and music connoisseur Rob on the Hulu series High Fidelity, based on the eponymous 1995 book and 2000 film starring her mom, Bonet.

Zoë posed for photos with her stepdad at the 2013 N.Y.C. premiere of action-thriller Bullet to the Head, in which Momoa starred alongside Sylvester Stallone and Christian Slater.

Momoa had the leading ladies in his life laughing at the 2011 premiere of Conan the Barbarian in L.A.

The joy definitely came from Zoë and Bonet and not the film screening, with Momoa telling British GQ in 2022, "I've been a part of a lot of things that really sucked, and movies where it's out of your hands. Conan was one of them."

He added, "It's one of the best experiences I had, and it [was] taken over and turned into a big pile of s---."
