On Tuesday, Sept. 24, the actor, 68, attended the premiere of his new movie Monster Summer at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles with his daughter Lucia, 14, and son Lars, 7, in tow. Gibson was all smiles as he posed with his son and daughter while sporting a navy blue blazer, white shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. Lucia, meanwhile, wore a red mini dress and gold strappy heels, which matched her glittering clutch bag, and Lars was dressed in a white shirt and black pants. Following the birth of Lars in January 2017, a source told PEOPLE that the couple were “thrilled and Lars is adorable.” This came after they announced in September 2016 that they were expecting their first child together. “Mel and Rose are so excited about the baby,” a friend close to the couple told PEOPLE at the time. “Mel loves being a dad and he and Rose can’t wait to be parents together.
