The pop superstar brought daughter Lourdes with her as she documented her trip to Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin, Mich. on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Oct. 25. “Homecoming………….,” she wrote atop a photo of Christopher’s green marble gravestone, which featured his name, date of birth and date of death. Madonna/Instagram Madonna Pays Tribute to Her 'Visionary' Brother Christopher After His Death: 'I Know He's Dancing Somewhere' Madonna, 66, also shared photos of the red roses she left behind, as well as a picture of her kneeling at what appears to be her mother’s grave. The star’s mom, Madonna Fortin Ciccone, died in 1963 at 30 years old, when the star was just 5. Lourdes, 28, also posed for a photo with her grandmother’s gravestone, and Madonna shared video of Levon Henry playing Duke Ellington’s “Single Petal of a Rose” on the saxophone. In another emotional clip, the Grammy winner shared an old, black and white video of her kneeling at her mother’s grave while Christopher looks on, which she captioned, “Life is a Circle.” The “Like a Virgin” singer also paid a visit to her grandmother’s house while back in her native Michigan, posing outside the home and writing, “When I was little, I thought my Nanoos house was a mansion!” Christopher Ciccone's grave. He and Madonna shared a close bond, as they worked together for much of her career. He was a dresser and creative consultant for his sister, and also was an interior design specialist, footwear designer, painter and memoirist. Two days after his death, Madonna shared a heartfelt tribute to her late brother, writing, “He was the closest human to be for so long. It’s hard to explain our bond but it grew out of an understanding that we were different and society was going to give us a hard time for not following the status quo.” Madonna visiting her grandmother's house.
