"I think what I’ve learned from last time is me, myself, saying what I like and what I don’t like,” she said of working with her own company. "I think that's the most important. Because if I say, 'Ah, it’s okay,' [people] don't know — like, am I really OK with it? So I have to be able to say 'yes' or 'no.' Not in between." In addition to working on her upcoming album, Lisa is also preparing to join Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and Rauw Alejandro as a headliner at the Global Citizen Festival on Sept. 28 at the Great Lawn in Manhattan's Central Park. Additionally, she's been filming the third season of The White Lotus in her home country of Thailand, which allowed the pop star “to be back home" and "to have Thai food every day." It also gave her a chance to explore a new career as she took on an acting role for the first time. Lisa from Blackpink for ELLE. Alongside Jelly Roll, Doja Cat and More According to Lisa, she couldn't have picked a better place to start than with The White Lotus. “I think I cried," she said of hearing the news she had landed the role. "I was with my friends, my mom’s friends, and my mom as well, but I didn't tell them that I auditioned for it." She continued, "I'm super excited and nervous, because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, 'Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?' " Lisa ultimately approached her role as if she was filming a music video, which gave her a feeling of confidence. Now, she's looking forward to the world seeing how special Thailand is. “I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more," she shared. Close
