Lindsay Hubbard recognizes she didn't come off so great on the latest episode of Summer House.

After accusing her ex-fiancé Carl Radke — who’s been sober since January 2021 — of using cocaine on Thursday’s installment of the Bravo show, Hubbard, 37, clarified her intentions on her Instagram Story Friday.

“After watching back this week’s episode, I wish I had used better wording,” Hubbard wrote. “I was emotional and hurt by what had transpired earlier in the night and what I said was meant to be a private conversation at home with one of my best girlfriends.”

In the episode, Hubbard expressed to Radke, 39, after a day of drinking that she thought her female housemates — Amanda BatulaPaige DeSorboCiara MillerDanielle Olivera and Gabby Prescod — would be mad at her for taking a Lyft to the club with the male housemates. Hubbard felt like Radke dismissed her feelings, and she told Prescod she found his actions “very reminiscent of, like, Carl on cocaine.”

“I have never questioned his sobriety before this moment and from day one I was his biggest supporter,” Hubbard continued on her Instagram Story. “I have always been transparent on the show about my feelings and leaned on my friends for support and that was my only intention here.”

When the group arrived at the club on Thursday’s episode, Batula, 32, recalled how Hubbard told her and Prescod of Radke, “He’s so mean to me. I can’t do this. I think he’s on something.”

Prescod proceeded to leave the club with Hubbard. Back at the house, Hubbard referred to Radke as “Cocaine Carl.” Prescod called Radke to find out when he planned to come home. “That sounded like a sober man to me,” Prescod decided.

Radke texted Hubbard to suggest they wait to discuss the situation until the morning once she sobered up. Hubbard then accused Radke via text of not being sober, which he denied.

“It’s beyond hurtful,” Radke said in a confessional interview. “It’s f---ed up. And that’s the person I’m supposed to marry? It just, it pains me deep down, the accusation or the insinuation that I’m on something. That kills me.”

The next morning, Hubbard doubled down on her thought that Radke had taken drugs the previous night.

“I’m f---ing sober,” Radke insisted. “In that moment, you were not. You drank all day long and are rude and aggressive to me when I’m trying to be supportive.”

Batula and her husband, Kyle Cooke, talked to each other during Thursday’s episode about how hurtful they found Hubbard’s accusation to be. Cooke, 41, suggested Hubbard “should stop being a f---ing dickhead” to Radke.

“Making this accusation to someone who is sober is hurtful,” Batula said in a confessional interview. “But like, if that sober person is the person you are supposed to be marrying in a few months, that is the most f---ed up accusation you can make.”

Radke called off the wedding to Hubbard at the end of the summer. While Radke told PEOPLE that the issues with Hubbard consisted of “a lot more things besides just drinking,” he acknowledged, “As someone who's sober and is committing to a lifetime of not drinking, the person I am with and their relationship with alcohol, it does matter.”

Andy Cohen discussed what transpired with Olivera, 35, and actress Annaleigh Ashford on the episode of Watch What Happens Live that followed Thursday’s Summer House, which Cohen, 55, called “pretty dark.”

“That was tough to watch only because I had removed myself from the situation so I didn’t really know what was going on. At all,” Olivera said. “I do … I was there, like that night and we were partying, but it just seemed like this was a nice, refreshing Carl. And I think Lindsay wasn’t used to seeing that. And he was just being overly fun.”

Olivera thought Radke “seemed normal” and “was reminiscent of a more fun Carl” that night.

"So, he was having fun with the group," Cohen confirmed.

Ashford, 38, said she watched the episode with her husband Joe Tapper, who is openly sober.

“Both of us felt like she was wildly inappropriate to not be sober herself and to make an accusation about somebody else’s sobriety, especially somebody that she’s so close to,” the Broadway star said. “But if you are not a sober person yourself in that moment, if you’re not sober, you should not be questioning somebody else’s sobriety. And especially somebody who’s deep in recovery like Carl was. So that was just, like Lindsay was wildly inappropriate. Not good. Not a good look.”
