Photo: Wes and Alex Photograph Recording artist, producer, actor and dad Lance Bass, best known for his time in *NSYNC, is adding another hat to his pile: children's book author. The father of twins — who were born on Friday the 13th, no less — has always loved Halloween. Now, he's paying tribute to that fandom with his debut book, Trick or Treat on Scary Street, and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the cover. “Trick or Treat on Scary Street is guaranteed to have readers howling with delight," explains a release from Union Square Kids about the book. It follows a group of trick-or-treaters as they head down Scary Street, led by a "charismatic and maybe unreliable guide." Along the way, the kids come upon a host of fun and frightening sights: vampire lairs, witches’ kitchens, haunted houses and more. As their journey continues, their friends start to disappear, leading the kids to wonder if it's all a trick, or if there ultimately is a treat on the horizon. I hope this book brings as many smiles to your family as it did to mine. It’s a captivating journey that celebrates the magic of Halloween for kids and kids-at-heart alike!" Bass teamed up with French illustrator Roland Garrigue for his first book project. The artist is familiar with the delightfully strange as his books often feature "fantastic universes and surreal situations," populated by "all the strange creatures he can dream up," according to the release.
