Katy Perry Says She's 'Wishing for Peace' on Her 39th Birthday: 'I've Got Everything, I'm So Blessed'

Katy Perry has just one wish for her birthday this year. 

As she turned 39 on Wednesday, the singer said that she was hoping for “peace.”

"I’ve got everything, I’m so blessed,” Perry told Entertainment Tonight as she was presented with a cake by her fellow American Idol judge Luke Bryan at the show's Los Angeles auditions.

"I know what I'm wishing for, I'm wishing for peace,’ she added as she blew out her candles. 

The "Firework” singer, who shares daughter Daisy Dove, 3, with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, went on to reveal that she was celebrating her big day with her family, but was keeping things "so low-key." 

However, when it comes to her big 4-0 next year, the star says she’s going all out. "For 40, I already planned three years ago," she told ET. "I'm asking for it all!"

As well as celebrating with her loved ones, Perry was also treated to a carnival-themed surprise party by Bryan, their fellow American Idol judge Lionel Richie and host Ryan Seacrest, per ET.

Birthday wishes also flooded in from her famous friends, including Kim Kardashian, Lauren Sánchez and Paris Hilton, who shared a sweet tribute alongside a carousel of clips and snaps of the pair together. 

“Happy Birthday @KatyPerry!! 🎈👸🏻🎂No one knows how to sliv quite like us California girls😉💕☀️,” Hilton’s caption began. “Love you beautiful Birthday Girl, you endlessly inspire me! Keep shining!✨ Have the best day ever!! 💗 😍.”

Paris' mom Kathy Hilton also shared her love for Perry in the comments section and called the musician "the most down to earth talented entertainers I know."

Meanwhile, Kardashian, who celebrated her 43rd birthday on Saturday, shared a shot of the pair at the 2019 Met Gala on her Instagram Story with the caption, “happy birthday @katyperry  🤍.”

Sánchez’s post featured a cute picture of Perry and Bloom that appeared to have been taken on a vacation. “Happy birthday @katyperry No one lights up a room more than you 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍,” the news anchor, 53, captioned her Instagram Story.
