The pop star, 39, was asked about the viral image on the Elvis Duran Show on Tuesday, Sept. 10, with host Elvis Duran explaining that the “clickbait” photo, which was captured at the Kering Foundation's Caring for Women Dinner the night before, shows Bloom, 47, "staring at [Kardashian’s] butt." "I mean, how could you not?" Duran asked, and Perry agreed, stating, "I approve." The singer probed, "So wait, what’s the controversy?" — and the host replied, "There is no controversy, that’s my whole point." "Oh, great," Perry jokingly added. "Count that click honey!" In the Sept. 4 episode, the “Teenage Dream” singer revealed what caused the couple’s split in 2017, plus how they reconciled before getting engaged and welcoming their daughter, Daisy Dove. "We weren’t, like, really in it from day one," Perry explained. "I mean, he was in a way, because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was just like, ‘I can't do this anymore. I need to go swim in a different pond,’ but I had yet to do a lot of real work." Ryan Emberley/Getty The pop star — who met Bloom at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards — recalled her now-fiancé embarking on a one-week retreat to California’s Hoffman Institute as a transformative experience for him, telling host Cooper that "it helps you rewire all the bad habits and rewires your neural pathways through different physical activities.” Once her actor beau returned from the retreat, Perry explained, "he wasn't playing this cat-mouse game anymore with me, and I was like, 'This is boring. I'm moving on.' " At the time, she was "used" to, and even enjoyed, the "dopamine hit" that came from "playing games" with the star, and embarked on a healing experience of her own. "I thought I really loved myself, and I thought I really had that center, but actually that core was all created from outside, validation," Perry explained. "Everything started changing, and then I went to [the Hoffman Institute] and it changed my life. It just helped me rewire how I think about myself, and it helped me connect my head to my heart." Close
