Photo: Jennifer Lopez/Instagram Jennifer Lopez is deep into preparations for her upcoming tour and is getting ready to hit the road — and she's hoping her kids are excited to join her. During an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday, May 6, Lopez, 54, opened up about her upcoming This Is Me... Now the Tour, which is set to travel across North America from June to August this summer, ending with a two-night stand in N.Y.C. at Madison Square Garden. GMA co-host Lara Spencer joked that because Lopez has so many upcoming engagements (including her new sci-fi film, Atlas) she "obviously [does] not need sleep." "I do. I do," Lopez laughed in response. "I wish I could have had the summer off. But it’s a small tour. It’s like 28 shows, I’m excited about it." "I haven’t been out for years, I think since 2019. Since before the pandemic. So I'm excited to see the fans and interact with the people again. It's always a good time." Lopez also shared that her kids — 16-year-old twins Maximilian "Max" David Muniz and Emme Maribel Muniz — have been "negotiating" when they'll stop by the tour to spend some quality time with her. I was like, 'You have to come for the whole month of July. You can go to camp and do whatever you want with your friends in June, then at the end of August, right before you start school, you can go back and hang out with your friends again. But you have to come with mommy for a little while.'" "I feel like this is the last time that I’ll get to do something like this with them," she continued. "They're 16, and next time they’re going to be like, 'No mom. No.' So I'm going to use the last little bit of force I have to control them to be like, 'You have to come for at least a little while.' So hopefully they’ll acquiesce to that." The Mother actress shares the siblings with ex-husband Marc Anthony. In March, Lopez and Emme spent some bonding time together with a trip to Broadway to see Merrily We Roll Along in New York City. In addition to checking out the musical, the pair also met some of the actors from the play. The Shotgun Wedding actress shared photos in an Instagram carousel of the day’s adventures — in one, Emme was embraced by cast member Jonathan Groff. Lopez’s twins have been keeping busy as they recently celebrated their 16th birthday.
