During the April 3 episode of The Ringer’s Dear Felicity podcast, the actress, 51, addressed whether she would be on board to return to the ABC sci-fi thriller, in which she played protagonist Sydney Bristow for the show’s five-season run. “I’m asked for a reboot literally every interview I do, when we’re gonna do it,” Garner said. Host and Alias costar Greg Grunberg proposed a full-length feature instead of a reboot but assumed that the actress “wouldn’t do that.” “Are you kidding? Of course I would,” the Juno star corrected. “I’d do anything J.J. would direct.” Jennifer Garner Wishes 'Alias' Costar and Ex Michael Vartan a Happy 55th Birthday: 'XX S. She had nothing but praise for the filmmakers’ direction, labeling them “true directors.” “They aren't just like, ‘Okay, that seems fine. You have another one in you?’ They have an idea, and they're helping guide you to the best version of whatever you show up with,” the 13 Going on 30 actress explained. Garner previously expressed her enthusiasm for an Alias reboot on The View in November 2023, calling it “the most fun ever.” She added that the final decision would be contingent on the Star Wars director, 57: “That's up to J.J. Nobody has ever really brought it up.” Jennifer Garner Says She 'Couldn't Stop Smiling' While Working with 'Alias' Costar Victor Garber on New Show Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow and Victor Garber as Jack Bristow in 'Alias'. On March 17, she celebrated on-screen father Victor Garber’s 75th birthday with an Instagram post. “Everything’s better when I’m next to you, Spy Daddy. Happy Birthday, @therealvictorgarber! 🎈♥,” Garner captioned the photos of herself and Garber. In January, she had a New York City reunion with Garber and Ron Rifkin, who played the show’s main antagonist. Sharing a photo of their meeting on Instagram, she wrote, “NYC doesn’t happen if I don’t get a moment with my best guys, Ron and Victor. ♥️.” Close
