Jennifer Aniston is reflecting on the longevity of her friendship with Reese Witherspoon — and their continued partnership.

Both Aniston and Witherspoon are nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for The Morning Show at the 2024 Emmy Awards, but despite going head-to-head in the category, Aniston has only love for her costar.

"We grew up together and we were kids together and now we're grown-ups together," Aniston, 55, told Laverne Cox during the E! red carpet preshow. "Being able to produce the show with her... I couldn't ask for a better partner."

Aniston, who plays anchor Alex Levy on the Apple TV+ series, added that the show is made up of a "wonderful group of people."

"We're really lucky." she told Cox.

Aniston also reacted to Cox, 52, sharing that Jon Hamm — who joined season 3 of The Morning Show as a love interest to Aniston's character — had described the show's set as an "amazing" environment and that the team treats "everybody really well."

"There's a no asshole policy," Aniston affirmed. "Oh yeah, no no. No room for that."

Aniston and Witherspoon, 48, first worked together on Friends in 1999, when Witherspoon appeared as the younger sister of Aniston's Rachel.

The actresses first met on the set, and Witherspoon recalled the experience in a 2019 interview for Harper's BAZAAR.

"I was 23 years old and had just had a baby. I was nursing Ava on set, and Jen just kept going, ‘You have a baby?’ I was like, ‘I know, it’s weird.' "

Witherspoon said Aniston was "so sweet" to her, though, and "we’ve been friends ever since."

"I was really nervous, and she was like, ‘Oh, my gosh — don’t worry about it!’ I marveled at her ability to perform in front of a live audience like that with no nerves. They would change all the lines and she was just so effortlessly affable, bubbly and sunny."
