Jack Black's Satan Goes Undercover as Saint Nick (and Post Malone) in Funny Dear Santa Trailer

Jack Black is in for a mischievous holiday season.

On Thursday, Nov. 7, Paramount+ debuted the first trailer for Dear Santa, which stars Black, 55, as Satan, who is summoned from the underworld to Earth by a boy named Liam (Robert Timothy Smith), who misspelled Santa Claus' name and mails a letter to Satan rather than the North Pole.

Once Liam summons Satan, the lord of the underworld grants the child three wishes before he takes his soul.

The trailer shows the devil take Liam to a Post Malone concert during their adventures together, with the 29-year-old musician also appearing in the trailer as himself.

"When a young boy mails his Christmas wish list to Santa with one crucial spelling error, a devilish Jack Black arrives to wreak havoc on the holidays," reads a synopsis. "From the hilarious minds behind Dumb & Dumber, Christmas is about to go up in flames."

Keegan-Michael Key also appears in the trailer, seemingly as Liam's therapist; Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, P.J. Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker and Kai Cech round out Dear Santa's cast.

The new movie is directed by Bobby Farrelly, known for collaborating with his brother Peter Farrelly on many of his movies.

Peter cowrote the script with Ricky Britt; together, the Farrelly brothers are responsible for movies like Ricky Stanicky, Hall Pass and Fever Pitch, in addition to Dumb and Dumber and Peter's 2018 movie Green Book, which won the Oscar for Best Picture.

Following Dear Santa, Black will costar with Jason Momoa in the upcoming A Minecraft Movie, set to release in April 4.

Dear Santa is on Paramount+ and digital Nov. 25.
