On tonight’s episode, the Fixer Upper star and his wife Joanna are designing a wheelchair-accessible home alongside Tim Tebow for the Copp family, in partnership with the former NFL star’s foundation. As a special treat, Chip and his 9-year-old scoured the work site for some scrap metal and, after turning it in for cash, went on a spirited shopping trip to find a few one-of-a-kind toys. “Duke and I went to work a couple of weeks back, we salvaged a bunch of metal and we kept some of that money on the side so that we could bless the Copp family,” Chip says in the clip above. “And sweet Duke decided he wanted to buy just some necessities.” Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Four Kids Cheer on ‘Teary Eyed’ Dad as He Trains for his First Marathon Although Duke takes his job seriously, suggesting baseball cards and a tricycle as their gifts, Chip continues to get distracted by the shop’s machetes, thermoses and jars of salsa. “Shopping with my dad is kind of impossible,” Duke says, to his father’s shock. “Why is it impossible to shop with me?” Chip asks. “Because you look at everything and you’re like ‘Ooh we should buy this,’” Duke reasons. But there was one other item they picked up for someone on their team. After Duke reminds Chip of a white skirt they found and can’t forget, Chip asks: “Who’s the dress for?” “Shorty,” Duke says, referring to the show’s contractor.
