Garth Brooks Will Serve Trisha Yearwood's 'Fabulous' Chicken Tenders at His New Bar — All About the Menu

Garth Brooks is serving up honky-tonk vibes at his upcoming Nashville-based bar — and Trisha Yearwood’s food.

Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk is celebrating its grand opening on March 7. On Tuesday, the Grammy winner gave fans a taste of what to expect at the new establishment.

“If you don’t come to Friends in Low Places for the cold beer and the Honky Tonk and music, Trisha Yearwood’s food is there,” Brooks said during the latest episode of his Inside Studio G podcast. “That’s pretty cool, man.”

While he couldn’t dish on all of the details, the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee highlighted a few of his wife's recipes on the menu. (Yearwood is cookbook author and Food Network host.)

“I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about her burger,” he said, adding that even just talking about them makes his mouth water. 

Off screen, someone complimented Yearwood’s chicken tenders as “the best in town,” which Brooks adamantly agreed with. “Hats off to her,” Brooks said. They went through “a thousand different renditions of chicken tenders,” he added. “They’re fabulous."

But the side dishes deserve attention, too, according to the self-proclaimed “fry guy.” 

Brooks explained how the team is split, half of them preferring skinny fries and the other half opting for steak fries. “So the answer was simple: We’re just going to do both.”

While Yearwood typically takes over in the kitchen, Brooks recently showed off his own culinary skills for his wife's birthday.

In September, the singer explained in a Facebook Live video that he’d made the triple chocolate cake brownie with peanut butter frosting himself, and that although he’d struggled a bit in the kitchen, he was proud of how it all came together.

“I live with a chef. I got some tips,” he said in the beginning of the video. “It wasn’t good, trust me. It was pretty hideous, pretty horrible. But… we’ll see if she likes it.”

Later in the video, Yearwood praised her husband’s baking. “I’m very impressed [by the cake],” she said. “Very impressed… It’s really sweet. It’s probably the sweetest gift you’ve ever given me for my birthday, and you’ve given me some pretty great things.”

Brooks is hoping Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk might host a certain Kansas City Chiefs tight end for the upcoming opening.

During the same Inside Studio G episode, Brooks explained that he invited Travis Kelce to the bar after seeing Kelce's performance of his song at the Kansas City Chiefs' 2024 Super Bowl victory parade on Feb. 14.

“Did you guys see Travis Kelce’s version of ‘Friends in Low Places?’ Did you see him sing this? I loved it, I thought it was fantastic,” Brooks said.

The singer said he wasn't planning on attending his bar's upcoming opening but would go if Kelce were to show up. 

“Big man, I’m just telling you this. I will be at [the] grand opening if you’re there,” Brooks told Kelce. “I’ll send a plane if you want and come and get another shot at the title. If you want to come sing that, I’ll send a plane.”

He continued, "You can come by yourself or bring your brother or your gang, whatever you want to do. The plane holds 11, just remember that. So, yes, I’ll be happy to send this invite out to you if you want to try a little ‘Friends in Low Places’ in Friends in Low Places.”
