The country music stars tied the knot at the Esperanza resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Once Evans, 32, and Ballerini, 24, were pronounced husband and wife, they and their 100 guests toasted with tequila shots — setting the tone for their south-of-the-border festivities. The newlyweds served an assortment of Mexican fare at their reception. Guests noshed on quesadillas, tacos, ceviche and chips and guacamole from action stations, in addition to grilled rib eye and shrimp. Joseph Llanes At the bar, pineapple mezcal cocktails and — according to Aussie “I Do” singer Evans — “fairly epic” margaritas were flowing. And for dessert, the happy couple served a four-tier confection from Cabo Cakery with white, red velvet and carrot flavors. “The whole wedding was centered around food, honestly,” says Ballerini, whose new album Unapologetically was partly inspired by her husband. Adds Evans: “I think for both of us, the most important thing was the atmosphere that we create: You don’t have to eat whatever’s served up to you. You just go and eat whatever you want, and drink whatever you want, and have a great time for everyone.”
