Eva Mendes Reveals the One Thing She 'Cannot Leave the House Without' as a Mom of 2: 'It's All They Want!'

Eva Mendes has entered a whole new mom era.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the actress, 50, revealed on Instagram the one item she can't leave the house without: stuffed animals. As a mom to daughters Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 8, whom she shares with longtime partner Ryan Gosling, 43, Mendes says, "It’s all they want!"

Posting two pictures of herself wearing an oversized pair of purple sunglasses and a large tote bag, the mom of two writes, "Mami Life. I’m officially in the Stuffy Era. Where I cannot leave the house without at least two of them in my big Mami bag."

Her carousel also includes a quick clip of her dumping out her "mami bag" to show her essentials, including baby wipes, colored pencils, a coloring book, and, of course, multiple stuffed animals.

"Are there others like me?" she asks in her caption. "When does this phase end? They’re everywhere! It’s all they want! 🧸!"

Many of Mendes' followers related to the mom of two, including actress Hannah Waddingham who commented, "One in the car, one in my bag, one in her rucksack, 12 MILLION in her bedroom! And she's 10!"

"I feel seeeen! They're invading our house! Good thing they're cute (but l'm sure toxic😩) lotsa love to you beautiful mama! X," Mendes replied.

She told another follower in the comments that she "low key" loves this new phase, sharing, "Will take pics for stories later because now that I have a huge mom bag, they're really pushing it. It's so damn cute tho. I low key love it."

Another user brought up the popular stuffed animal brand Squishmallows in the comments, writing, "They are the cutest and double as a pillow if the kiddo needs a nap at some point (or parents for that matter 😂)."

The comment seemed to hit home for Mendes, who called the large, pillow-like stuffed animals "a whole other thing."

"Oh yes ! The squishmallows — that's a whole other thing. Thankfully I haven't been asked to carry them around. ...yet!" she joked.
