Charlie Gilmour, the son of Pink Floyd guitarist Dave Gilmour, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of violent disorder and attempted criminal damage, according to The Guardian. Gilmour, 21, was seen swinging from Britain’s Union Jack flag attached to a war memorial as he took part in a march demonstrating against increases in tuition fees. He later apologized for the “terrible insult,” reports The Guardian, saying he had been “caught up in the spirit of the moment.” Gilmour remains in police custody and is the 35th person to have been arrested following involvement in Thursday’s protest. Some 176 people have been arrested in the four protests so far. Close
