On Friday, it was announced that the rockers and country hitmaker, 35, will be taking the stage together live for a first-time performance at the 2024 CMT Awards. NEEDTOBREATHE's performance at this year's CMT Awards marks the first time they've taken the stage since their mesmerizing performance of “I Wanna Remember” with Carrie Underwood in 2021, while Davis will be making his main stage debut at the event and is nominated for male video of the year and video of the year for "Next Thing You Know." Paramount/CMT Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban, Jelly Roll and More to Perform at 2024 CMT Awards Ahead of the award show, the artists will also team up for a special outdoor taping of CMT Crossroads, where they will film in front of a live audience at University of Texas at Austin on April 5. Earlier this week, the CMT Awards revealed that Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson and Sam Hunt will join host Kelsea Ballerini as performers this year. Zimmerman received a nod for male video of the year for "Religiously," and Jelly Roll earned nominations for video of the year, male video of the year and CMT performance of the year for "Need a Favor." Meanwhile, Wilson is up for video of the year and female video of the year for "Watermelon Moonshine," as well as collaborative video of the year for “More Than Friends” with Lukas Nelson + Promise of The Real. Ballerini also earned video of the year and CMT performance of the year nods for “IF YOU GO DOWN (I’M GOIN’ DOWN TOO)," as well as a female video of the year nomination for "Penthouse." Urban and Hunt didn't receive any nominations this year. Last week, CMT announced the 2024 nominations list and its top nominees, which include Ballerini, Jelly Roll, Wilson, Cody Johnson and Megan Moroney who earned three each. First-time nominees include Amber Riley, Ashley Cooke, Bret Michaels, Chayce Beckham, Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders and Zach Bryan. On April 1, the top six nominees from the first round of voting will be announced, while the final three nominees, from the second round of voting, will be revealed on show day. The award show, hosted by Ballerini, will air live at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will stream on Paramount+. Fans can vote at vote.cmt.com. Close
