On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the supermodel, 58, shared an adorable throwback photo of the mother-daughter duo in honor of Kaia's 23rd birthday. In the snap, Crawford holds her little girl as the two smile at the camera. In the second photo of her birthday tribute, Kaia looks all grown up as she poses with her mom on a carpet. "Happy 23rd birthday @kaiagerber! Time sure does fly!" the proud mom of two wrote in her caption. Cindy Crawford/Instagram “It’s about when you’re showing up for your kids or… it would be more I guess if you were to be the perfect mother-in-law at a wedding,” the model recalled. “She’s like, ‘It’s not about you, you don’t want to stand out.’" She added that the “best advice” her mom ever gave her was, “Don’t give advice unless [it’s] asked for,” which she does her best to implement with her own kids. “They know if they ask me, they’re going to get my real opinion,” Crawford explained. “But if they don’t ask me… I really try hard, and I’m probably about 70 percent good at this… I try not to offer unsolicited advice.” Close
