Baby makes three!

Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda Carter are officially parents after welcoming their first child together.

The couple announced the new addition in a sweet joint Instagram post on Tuesday, Oct. 1. They shared images of their newborn's face alongside photos of the proud new parents cuddling with their baby boy in the hospital.

In the caption, Wallace revealed his son's birthday and name.

"Amanda and I would like to introduce you to Becks Hayden!" the NASCAR driver, 30, wrote. "We were blessed with his presence Sunday 9/29☺️ 9 months of waiting on this little guy, he’s made it all worth it! So excited for this journey!"

The milestone marks the latest step in their years-long journey. The pair first met in high school but did not begin dating until after graduation.

"It's special," Carter told PEOPLE of her and Wallace's journey. "We still reminisce or talk about things from the past. We just know so much about each other's lives from so long ago."

They wed on New Year's Eve in Charlotte, N.C., in 2022, and rang in 2023 with a champagne toast and a McDonald's food truck — filled with chicken nuggets and French fries — at 1 a.m.

"Getting married, and starting a new life together, I'm just so excited to have a good one in my corner," Wallace told PEOPLE. "We have so much fun together."
