The Brady Bunch Kids Reunite on Today and Address a Hilarious Plot Hole from the Beloved Series

The stars are just as baffled as fans about the fate of the Brady family's dog

The fate of The Brady Bunch’s dog Tiger remains a mystery — even to the classic sitcom’s cast.

On Thursday, Nov. 7, Brady Bunch stars Barry Williams, Eve Plumb and Christopher Knight were on NBC’s Today, where host Carson Daly brought up the fact that the Brady family’s dog disappeared from the show with no explanation after its second season.

Plumb, 66, noted that the Brady girls also had a cat, Fluffy, in the series’ pilot episode. The family’s pets, she acknowledged, “just sort of faded away.”

“That’s TV,” she added. “Stuff comes and it goes.”

“Watching the early shows with Tiger, Tiger’s an important element, you’re right,” said Knight, 67, who has been revisiting the series with Williams on their podcast, The Real Brady Bros. “And he just disappears.”

“Continuity was not one of the strong points of our show,” Williams, 70, joked. “And so one day he’s there, one day he’s not there.”

Actress Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) — who recently claimed a CBS revival of The Brady Bunch was axed due to her support of Donald Trump — was not with the cast on Today, nor were Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) or Mike Lookinland (Bobby Brady).

While Tiger may have left the Brady home all the way back in early 1971, fans of The Brady Bunch now have a chance to visit the iconic house themselves.

Today host Hoda Kotb noted that the North Hollywood property that was used for exterior establishing shots of the Brady home on the show has become the second-most visited house in the U.S. after the White House. Its interior was even renovated by HGTV, with the help of the original Brady Bunch cast, to look exactly like the show’s set for a 2019 reality show.

But Knight clarified that fans can only drive by and photograph the house’s exterior.

That’s about to change, however, according to Brady house owner Tina Trahan. The art collector, who bought the property from HGTV last year, joined Williams, Plumb and Knight on Today to promote their partnership with non-profit No Kid Hungry on a sweepstakes offering five lucky winners a flight to L.A. where they’ll get to have brunch with the Brady Bunch cast at the iconic house.

And don’t worry, Trahan says she’s kept HGTV’s 1970s remodel completely intact. “It’s like a life-sized doll house,” she said. “You walk into your childhood when you walk into that house.”
