On Friday, May 10, the country superstar was honored at the Keep Memory Alive’s 27th Annual Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas for his philanthropic work, and the evening included a live auction which saw Shelton, 47, nab a particularly starry item on the docket. The country superstar bid on, and won, a walk-on role for a future Mark Wahlberg movie. The cost: $40,000. “I don’t know if you guys saw the auction earlier. This is maybe the last time I’m ever gonna perform country music,” he later joked while taking the stage. “I’m a movie star now. I’m not f---ing around." There, Shelton performed “Sweet Caroline,” “Ole Red” and “Sangria.” He also invited his wife, Gwen Stefani, 54, on stage to perform “Nobody But You.” Stefani, of course, was all too happy to join her husband on stage, especially given that she had joined him for a stylish date night at the event and lovingly introduced him earlier in the evening. “His heart is as big as his voice,” she told the crowd of her beau. “His talent is obvious and he lights up the room and brings a smile to everyone he meets that makes us all love him so much. So whether he’s supporting an important cause and organizations across the country, he’s an incredible person." Stefani continued, “He supports veterans. He supports children’s hospitals, food banks, supports people with disabilities, disaster relief efforts, wildlife conservation or local communities in need, Blake’s generosity is genuine and endless. His dedication to giving back and making a difference and using his platform for good, both publicly and behind the scenes is truly inspiring.” Shelton was all too happy to return to the affection toward his wife, even calling her his “secret weapon” before she joined him for “Nobody But You.” As she walked on stage, he introduced her as “Gwen Stefani,” before quickly correcting himself and calling her “Gwen Shelton.” Blake Shelton (L) and Gwen Stefani attend the 27th Annual Keep Memory Alive Power of Love Gala benefit on May 10, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. David Becker/Getty Earlier in the night, the country superstar had shared his plans for spoiling his wife on Mother's Day this year, revealing that he doesn't have to, because her sons — Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10 — whom Stefani shares with ex Gavin Rossdale — do such an incredible job of honoring their mom on the special holiday. "You know what? I don't have to, because her sons have been incredible," he said, adding that even though he’s reminded Stefani's sons of the significance of the day often in the past, they inevitably have their plans for the celebration already in place. "They're like, no, no, no. We've already thought about it. We're going to make breakfast for her," the singer explained. “I always can kind of just take a back seat and watch these boys. They do an incredible job spoiling her," he continued. Close
