Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Red Hot Chili Peppers are among those due to perform during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday, Aug. 11, according to an exclusive report by Variety. The outlet reports that the performances will take place from Los Angeles in a mix of pre-taped and live performances as part of a handover to the city that will host the 2028 Summer Olympics. Ben Winston, who has previously produced the Grammy Awards, is coordinating with French producers on the event, according to the outlet, Eilish, 22, Snoop, 52, and Red Hot Chili Peppers all have strong ties to the Californian city. While Eilish was born in L.A. and Red Hot Chili Peppers were formed there, Snoop, who has been serving as a commentator for NBC during the sporting event, was born in nearby Long Beach. Rich Fury/Getty See All the Celebrities at the 2024 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony (So Far) The alleged plan is to have the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One star swinging from atop the State de France before reaching his first destination — the stadium's field, TMZ reported. The Olympic broadcast will then cut to a two-minute, pre-recorded segment featuring Cruise traveling to his destination in a plane as he brings the Olympic flag from France to L.A. He will then leap from the airplane and land on the Hollywood sign, according to the outlet. While Gaga, 38, sang "Mon Truc et Plumes," Dion, 56, performed "Hymne à L'amour" from the Eiffel Tower in her first performance since revealing her stiff-person diagnosis in December 2022.
