Before winning gold at the women's artistic gymnastics all-around final on Thursday, Aug. 1, Simone Biles received a sweet tribute from Beyoncé.

The singer, 42, proudly narrated a video chronicling Biles' road to the 2024 Olympic Games for NBC.

The video begins with the 32-time Grammy winner singing the first verse to her Cowboy Carter track "JUST FOR FUN," featuring Willie Jones.

"Let's talk about power because, really, that's what this story is about," says Beyoncé as footage of Biles, 27, competing comes on screen. "Physical power, its beauty, its wonder, the way it never stops amazing you. Then there's spiritual power, the kind that really matters. The power you can't see, only sense. The power you need in those moments when life goes a little sideways on you."

Footage of the Tokyo Olympics, in which Biles was forced to withdraw from the competition after experiencing the debilitating phenomenon known as the twisties, appears on screen.

"And, of course, lasting power. Only a select few know what it feels like to get to the top and stay there and somehow keep getting better" says Beyoncé as footage of Biles throughout various practices begins to play.

"Simone Biles inspires me, and I'm pretty sure she inspires you, too. Such confidence in her strength, such beauty in her power, such a great lesson in her story," the musician continues. " Brilliance, it doesn't come easy. Gold can be a hell of a journey, and the greatest of all time is willing to put that title on the line every time she walks out there. Take your best shot world. She's ready for you."

While Beyoncé has not attended the Olympics, she introduced Team USA in a roughly two-minute and thirty-second clip during NBCUniversal’s primetime coverage of the opening ceremony.
