Harris, 38, shared the cover of the issue to her Instagram Stories on Friday, April 26, writing, "Proud of you babe," over the image. The former USWNT player, who began dating the One Tree Hill alum, 41, in the fall of 2023, added a teary-eyed smiling emoji and a melting emoji as she celebrated Bush's feature. In the cover story, Bush penned a vulnerable essay about almost calling off her June 2022 wedding to entrepreneur Grant Hughes before their short-lived marriage and experiencing "real joy" as she publicly comes out as "queer" for the first time. "I feel like I was wearing a weighted vest for who knows how long." Bush continued, "I hadn’t realized how heavy it was until I finally just put it down. This might sound crazy — but I think other people in trauma recovery will get it — I am taking deep breaths again." "I can feel my legs and feet. I can feel my feet in my shoes right now. It makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time," Bush added. In August 2023, the actress filed for divorce from Hughes, 41, after a year of marriage. “In April of 2022, I was close to calling off my wedding. Instead of running away, I doubled down on being a model wife,” she wrote of the marriage in her Glamour essay.
