Sehorn, 19, was charged with felony breaking and entering as well as larceny on allegations she broke into a nightclub in June. On Oct. 17, the case was dropped as a voluntary dismissal. On Oct. 18, the probable cause hearing was cancelled after the case was disposed and charges were dismissed. In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Sehorn's attorney George V. Laughrun said of the news: "After careful consideration, and almost four months of investigation, the DA filed that the state has insufficient evidence to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. Ms. Seahorn is pleased that the charges were dropped and is excited to get on with her life." Angie Harmon's Daughter Arrested in North Carolina Over Alleged Nightclub Break-In A spokesperson for the Mecklenburg County DA's Office in North Carolina also tells PEOPLE in a statement: "No evidence was ever submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review and the victim business did not respond to contact from our office about cooperating with the prosecution of that case. As such, there was insufficient evidence to proceed." According to the online case summary, which was handled in Mecklenburg District Court, the dispositions of "breaking and or entering" and "larceny after break/enter" were noted as "VD – Dismissal Without leave." In North Carolina, a dismissal without leave (VD) by the district attorney means that the case is dismissed and cannot be reopened for further litigation. Avery Sehorn. Angie Harmon/Instagram Sehorn, who the Law & Order actress shares with ex-husband Jason Sehorn, was accused of breaking into World Nightclub on June 5 with two 17-year-old boys to steal alcohol. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the club owner claimed that Avery stole six bottles of liquor totaling $500. Avery was arrested just after midnight after the incident occurred. The owner told local station WCCB that the teens allegedly broke in through the back door before hiding behind the bar to steal the liquor. When cleaning crews caught them, they allegedly ran but were quickly caught by police. This was reportedly caught on security cameras, the owner told the outlet. Angie Harmon/Instagram Laughrun gave an exclusive statement to PEOPLE at the time, stating, "Ms. Harmon respects and believes in the criminal justice system. She is looking forward to her daughter’s day in court so that the real truth can be told from individuals who were eyewitnesses to the events." "They and their counsel are confident that the truth will be forthcoming and again are looking ahead to show actual facts about what occurred, not conclusions and conjecture from outside sources," the statement continued. "We will be making no further comment until our day in court and ask that everyone respect their privacy." The arrest comes just weeks after Avery graduated from high school. Harmon, 51, posted a sweet Instagram tribute to the grad alongside her other daughters Finley Faith, 20, and Emery Hope, 15, whom she also shares with her former NFL star ex. (The two split in 2014.)
