The Arnold sisters — Lindsay, Jensen, Brynley and Rylee — have turned a shared love of dance into a strong sisterly bond.

The siblings were raised in Utah by their parents, Josh and Mindy Arnold. Although Mindy wasn't a dancer herself, she put her daughters in classes from a young age. Years later, all four sisters would become trained ballroom dancers, and three would go on to compete in reality dance competitions: So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars.

"Dancing is something we’ve invested our lives into, and we’ve learned how to support each other and be there for each other through all of it," Lindsay told Dance Spirit in October 2018. "It’s brought us so close as a family."

Now, the siblings often show up to support one another, most recently at Rylee's performances on season 33 of DWTS.

"My sisters are the people I call first for everything. I spend more time with them than any friend ever," Lindsay said in a TikTok in September 2023. "My sisters are my main girl friends and my best friends, and it's actually the best thing ever."

From growing up in Utah to their shared dance bond, here's everything to know about the Arnold sisters.

They were raised in Utah

Josh, a cosmetic injector, and Mindy, a former physical therapist turned dance studio owner, welcomed their first daughter, Lindsay, in January 1994.

Lindsay became a sister when Jensen was born in October 1997, followed by Brynley in April 2000 and Rylee in June 2005. Together, the sisters grew up in Utah and were raised as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

When they were kids, Mindy opened up a dance studio so that her daughters would have a "family environment" to perform, Lindsay told Dance Dish Media in June 2017. They went on to train across styles, with a special love for ballroom dance.

While the sport has brought the sisters in and out of Utah over the years, they revealed on their YouTube channel that they don't want to leave their home state permanently.

"I think mostly just to not be with everyone would be so sad,” Jensen said in July 2023.

Lindsay was the first to get married when she tied the knot with her high school sweetheart, Samuel Cusick, on June 18, 2015, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They welcomed their first daughter, Sage, on Nov. 2, 2020, followed by a second baby girl, June, on May 3, 2023.

Jensen also married her high school boyfriend, Topher Hill, on Dec. 27, 2018, at the Salt Lake City Temple, with Lindsay as her matron of honor. They welcomed their first child, Brooks, on June 22, 2022, and announced in September 2024 that they were expecting a second child due in March 2025.

Two years later, Brynley wed Donny McGinnis on Oct. 9, 2020. Together, they share two kids: daughter Quincy, born on Aug. 4, 2022, and son Rez, born on May 7, 2024.

Meanwhile, Rylee began dating USC football player Walker Lyons in October 2024. As the youngest aunt of the group, she often shares photos on Instagram documenting how much she enjoys caring for her nephews and nieces.

"aunt life is the best life🥹 so grateful!" she wrote on Instagram in November 2022.

Lindsay, Jensen and Rylee competed on reality dance shows

Lindsay competed on SYTYCD in 2012 before joining the professional cast of DWTS in 2013. Four years later, she won her first mirrorball with her partner Jordan Fisher. The dancer eventually stepped away from the show in 2022 to focus on being with her family in Utah.

In 2018, Jensen competed (and was runner-up) on So You Think You Can Dance, while Rylee was competing on Dancing with the Stars Junior, in which Lindsay was her coach and mentor.

During a May 2024 appearance on The Squeeze podcast, Rylee explained that being on DWTS had been her "dream" since she watched her sister at a live taping when she was 8 years old.

Soon after finding out she was going to be a pro on season 32 of DWTS, Rylee shared an Instagram video of her siblings reacting to the news, with Lindsay picking up Rylee and swinging her around as they jumped up and down in excitement.

Lindsay made her own Instagram announcement that same day, celebrating the "full circle moment."

“To say I am proud is truly an understatement. This girl is the hardest worker, beyond talented, humble, and so kind and she is going to absolutely kill it this season!” Lindsay wrote.

Although Lindsay and Rylee have not competed on the same season, Lindsay made a guest appearance in the studio during Rylee's first DWTS season to assist her and her partner at the time, Harry Jowsey. Now, all three sisters (and their kids) are frequent audience members.

Brynley also grew up as a dancer, but took a different career path

Rather than following in her older sisters' footsteps and becoming a dancer, Brynley pursued a career as a registered nurse.

During an April 2024 appearance on Got It From My Momma podcast, Mindy said that Brynley was "a great dancer" and at the "same level" as the other girls.

However, after living with Lindsay for three months in Los Angeles and immersing herself in the modeling and dancing scene, she decided she didn't love the lifestyle. Mindy recalled Brynley coming home and putting her sights on nursing school instead.

In November 2021, Brynley shared an Instagram tribute to her "ER family" before revealing she would be starting a new role as a director of nursing, writing that she has "loved every second of working here."

Lindsay has been "more than a mentor" to Rylee

Lindsay has had a big influence on Rylee's life, from being her mentor on DWTS Junior to providing support through her first year as a DWTS pro.

During a September 2023 appearance on Lightweights Podcast with Joe Vulpis, Rylee explained how Lindsay was “more than a mentor.” She shared how her sister and former DWTS pro helped her along the way for her first season, from giving her opinions after rehearsals to helping her respond to press questions.

“She was in my ear helping me with everything, just as simple as, ‘How do I respond to this text to this person?’ ” Rylee said. “There’s been times I’ve done press, and they are like, ‘She has such a great PR team, she’s doing such good answers,’ and I’m like, ‘It’s Lindsay.’ ”

Lindsay has credited this special bond to their 12-year age gap.

"She was always just like my baby sis," she said in a TikTok in January 2024. "I feel like she did actually care about my opinion and listen to my advice."

Rylee echoed the sentiment while appearing on The Squeeze a few months later, adding that she had "looked up to [Lindsay] my whole entire life."

Dancing isn't the only thing the Arnold sisters have shared. In September 2019, they started a YouTube channel titled The Arnold Sisters.

From dance challenge videos to opening up about motherhood, the siblings have documented their lives for years in over 300 vlog-style videos.

While the four used to film together consistently in the beginning, their posting schedule became more sporadic as time went on, which Lindsay explained in a May 2024 video was due to life getting "pretty crazy."

"I don't know if we're ever going to be able to get back to the good old OG days of Arnold Sisters where there were no children involved, where we were posting every single day, multiple times a day," she said. "Life is different for us now guys, and it's harder."

Lindsay revealed on TikTok that her sisters are her "absolute best friends in the whole entire world." She added that they have group FaceTime calls daily and "are really all that close."

While addressing "assumptions about us" during a February 2023 video of The Arnold Sisters, Lindsay, Jensen and Rylee debunked the myth that some are more tight-knit than others.

"It's so funny because that's not true, we just gravitate to each other," Jensen said, before Rylee added that it "depends on the day, too."

Lindsay joined in and joked, "Some days I like Rylee, sometimes I don't."
