Dressed in a gold nightgown and white boots on top of a black and white plaid shirt, Ballerini, 30, kicked off the performance with a stunning rendition of her power ballad "Mountain with a View." The country music star was then joined by Kahan, 27, who wore a long-sleeved brown shirt and khaki pants to sing his folk-rock hit "Stick Season." Their duet follows Kahan’s first Grammy nominations, on top of his first charting singles — “Stick Season” and “Hurt Somebody.” Along the way, he's also scored collaborations with Olivia Rodrigo, Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves. Looking ahead, the singer is currently working on new material and has teased some unreleased songs during live performances. "I just want to wait and feel very excited about whatever's next in terms of an album because before Stick Season, I felt like I was just putting music out just to put it out," Kahan previously told PEOPLE at the 2023 TIME100 Gala.
