Rachel Zegler apologizes for anti-Trump post after calls for Disney to fire ‘Snow White’ star

Rachel Zegler issued an apology for her anti-Donald Trump post.

The actress wrote via her Instagram Story Thursday that she let her “emotions get the best of” her when she posted about the 2024 presidential election last week.

“Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding,” she added in the lengthy statement.

“I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse. This week has been emotional for so many of us, but I firmly believe that everyone has a right to their own opinion, even when it differs from my own,” Zegler continued.

“I am committed to contributing positively toward a better tomorrow.”

The singer, 23, sparked backlash — and public calls for Disney to fire her from the forthcoming live-action “Snow White” film — for her reaction to President-elect Trump, 78, beating Vice President Kamala Harris.

Zegler posted a lengthy Instagram post wishing that the “Apprentice” alum and his supporters “never know peace.”

The message, in part, read, “another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world i do not want to live in. … i am heartbroken for my friends who awoke [in] fear this morning. and i am here with you. to cry, to yell, to hug. to wax poetic on how the left continues to fail us in forging a new path forward.”

She noted that “this loss should not have been” — especially by “so many votes.”

In a separate post, Zegler wrote about the “deep, deep sickness” in the United States, slamming Trump voters for their “foolish subscription to a false sense of security, of masculinity, of intelligence, of patriotism, and of humanity.”

She wrote, “It is terrifying the number of people who stand behind what this man preaches.”

Megyn Kelly called Zegler a “pig” over her comments in a SiriusXM tirade Thursday.

“Hello, Disney! You’re gonna have to redo your film again, because … you fired Gina Carano [from ‘The Mandalorian’] for far less than this nonsense,” the former Fox News host, 53, said.

Carano, notably, exited the Disney show in April after claiming being a Republican was comparable to being a Jewish citizen in Nazi Germany in since-deleted uploads.

While some social media users agreed with Kelly, others showed support for Zegler.

“[She] needs someone to stand behind her at all times reminding her that yes she’s a sweetheart but it’s also okay to get angry and expressive,” one fan wrote on X, while another encouraged Zegler to not “let [her] publicist silence [her].”
