‘Nervous’ Garcelle Beauvais’ son Jaid, 16, makes runway debut at Sutton Stracke’s fashion show

One of Garcelle Beauvais’ twin boys, Jaid, made his runway debut while appearing in Sutton Stracke’s Green Label fashion show in Los Angeles Monday night.

“My son Jaid is one of the models in the show. This is his first runway!” Beauvais told Page Six in an exclusive interview before the show.

“I’m so excited,” she added. “He just started modeling.”

When asked whether she was “nervous” for her child, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 57, shrieked, “Yes! Are you kidding? I had him practicing for me today. He’s like, ‘Mom, I’m not gonna look at you. Like, Mom, you gotta be cool.'”

We can confirm Beauvais — who is also mom to son Oliver, 33 — tried valiantly to keep her cool as she and her co-stars sat in the front row and watched Jaid, 16, rock two outfits from Stracke’s new sustainable line of travel garments.

The actress smiled from ear to ear as she filmed from her phone, but the teen — already a staunch professional — stayed focused on the task at hand.

When asked how her son Jax feels about his twin’s interest in modeling, Beauvais let out a laugh and replied, “His brother’s like, ‘I’m gonna make fun of him.’ … I was like, ‘You wanna come [tonight]?’ He was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ But that’s brothers! They’re 16.”

When we caught up with the woman of the hour, she explained that her inspiration to create an environmentally friendly clothing collection came about a few years ago.

“I met this man from Houston who has become my business partner, and he’s in the recycling business,” Stracke, 52, shared.

“And he said, ‘You know what? You need to be in the sustainability business with fashion.’ And so I learned all about what problems fashion was causing our earth.”

When we referred to her titular brand as her baby, the mother of three quipped, “My big baby! This is like twins that are, like, 80 pounds each.”

Jaid wasn’t the only “RHOBH” kid at the fashion show, as Stracke’s daughter, Porter, was also in attendance.

Porter, 22, watched from the audience as her mom got choked up while addressing the crowd on the rooftop of the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood.

“I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve never done a fashion show. This was not in the plan when I opened my [West Hollywood] store five years ago,” Stracke admitted.

“It has been a journey for me learning about sustainability and how fashion pollutes our environment. And so these pieces can be in landfills if they weren’t here being recirculated into fashion,” she continued, pointing to her models.

The Bravolebrity went on to express how “proud” she is to be “part of the solution and not the problem in fashion.”

“My 22-year-old daughter, Porter, is in the audience. It was so fun for me to include her to learn about sustainability and also how to not do fast fashion but smart fashion,” Stracke said, fighting back tears.

“And I hope she’s proud of me. It’s just such a joy to share this with you.”
