Actor Bronson Pinchot lost a staggering 60 pounds in lockdown
Bronson Pinchot has lost at least 60 pounds in six months.
The “Perfect Strangers” star told Page Six that his weight loss journey began a few months into lockdown, when he happened to see a photo of himself from the 2017 reboot of “Battle of the Network Stars” and was horrified.
“There was an old fat guy,” he remembers with a shudder and so he decided to ditch the weight.
That was in May of last year and six months later he was 60 pounds lighter.
The sitcom star compares himself and everyone else struggling to drop weight as puppies who need disciplining.
He says the first thing he did was do a deep-cleanse of his pantry and fridge, tossing out all the junk food.
“And then I just put healthy food in the house and I said, ‘OK, puppy, you can have whatever’s there.’”
Pinchot admits that in the beginning, it was difficult and he couldn’t go to sleep because of hunger pains.
The “First Wives Club” actor is now vegan and is not exercising because he wanted to see if he could maintain the weight loss without any cardio.
Pinchot says he has struggled with his weight since he was 5 years old and has fluctuated wildly over the years, but this radical rehauling seems to have stuck.
Recently, he opened up a storage box that sat untouched for 25 years and was filled with mementos and clothes from his time playing Balki Bartokomous on “Perfect Strangers” from 1986 to 1993.
“And I just took off my clothes and put them on and they fit,” he recounted. “And I thought, ‘I’m pretty sure I’m the only 61-year-old within a 10-mile radius that’s getting into his clothes from when he was a 26-year-old doing two aerobics classes a day.’ And that feels pretty good. That feels pretty good.”
