Art Garfunkel, DJ Khaled, Wynton Marsalis, Mandy Moore, Jimmy Fallon and Paul Shaffer will be among the presenters at the Paley Center for Media’s starry gala honoring music on TV on Tuesday night.
Also among the presenters and guests will be Dionne Warwick, Fergie and Tristan “Mack” Wilds.
The event, at Cipriani Wall Street, is to celebrate the most iconic musical moments on TV — such as the Beatles’ first appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in 1964 — plus the creation of Paley’s new music collection in the archive, the world’s largest publicly accessible cache of TV and radio programming.
Maureen J. Reidy, the nonprofit Paley Center’s president and CEO, said, “We’re so proud to present this first-of-its-kind celebration that will highlight the historic and iconic musical moments that have thrilled generations of television fans.”
