Although Lindsay Lohan has been fighting off severe joint pains after contracting a rare mosquito-borne virus, she could have a bigger problem on the horizon: time behind bars.
The actress, who has been jetting from Bora Bora to London lately, could be jailed for failing to complete a mandatory 240 hours of community service stemming from her 2012 reckless driving case, reports TMZ.
The 28-year-old is set for a court date Wednesday to review the completed number of hours.
Lohan was initially slated to complete her service by Nov. 6, 2014, but a judge granted her an extension after she had only finished half the assigned hours by the original date.
Sources tell the site Lohan plans to blame her incomplete work on the community service center closing for two weeks during the holiday season and the virus, Chikungunya, which recently sent her to the hospital.
However, the excuses may not sit well with the judge — especially since Lohan spent quite some time in Bora Bora over the holidays, a trip that was documented extensively on Instagram.
A request for comment from Lohan’s manager was not immediately returned.
