Tom Cruise will unveil his next action film “Jack Reacher” with a star-studded US premiere in . . . not-so-glamorous Pittsburgh. The movie based on the books by Lee Child will premiere Dec. 15, it was revealed yesterday, and will be the first “bona fide” red-carpet premiere of a Hollywood movie the city’s hosted. While some could speculate the picture’s being screened outside of New York to avoid a possible Cruise run-in with ex Katie Holmes, Paramount said the premiere is taking place in the Pennsylvania city because it’s where the film — also starring Robert Duvall and Rosamund Pike — was shot. (“The Dark Knight Rises,” which also shot there, had a screening, but it wasn’t the premiere.) A rep didn’t comment on whether further US premieres would follow before the flick opens Dec. 21.
