Roseanne Barr is hoping for a Betty White-style comedy comeback — helped by the gods of TV advertising. The “Roseanne” star is secretly filming a Snickers commercial that could be slated to run during the Super Bowl. Last year, venerable actress White caused a sensation in a commercial for the candy bar in which she was mowed down in a football game. The hugely positive reaction to the ad caused some to say that while the New Orleans Saints won the game, White took home the trophy. The commercial gave White a career renaissance, with a hosting role on “Saturday Night Live,” a guest-star spot in “Community” and her own sitcom series, “Hot in Cleveland.” A rep for Barr, whose book, “Roseannearchy: Dispatches from the Nut Farm,” is out tomorrow, could not be reached.
