Applying for Financial Aid

To be eligible for most types of financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA). These applications compile financial information and other details about students and families, which the US Department of Education and the State of Oregon use to determine financial need and eligibility for various financial aid opportunities. The 2025-26 FAFSA and ORSAA are estimated to open in December 2024.

FAFSA/ORSAA Information

The FAFSA or ORSAA is used to determine eligibility for financial aid opportunities including Oregon financial aid programs like the Oregon Opportunity Grant, the Oregon Promise Grant, and many need-based OSAC scholarships.

Completion Rates Report

Each year, OSAC publishes FAFSA/ORSAA completion rates for most Oregon public high schools on the Higher Education Coordinating Commission website for the graduating class.
