Climate adaptation and resilience is dramatically underfunded and innovative investment mechanisms are urgently needed. The Atlantic Council’s Climate Resilience Center develops and scales adaptation policy and finance solutions that are paving the way for increased investments in climate adaption. Our team works to facilitate an enabling environment that drives private sector engagement and promotes the development of innovative financial instruments and policies. Through this approach, we can significantly contribute to global economic stability and ensure a climate-resilient future, integrating biodiversity, gender, and health into a new adaptation economy.
Adaptation policy and finance solutions require stakeholders, practitioners, and officials to anticipate the needs of entire communities and ecosystems. By building our solutions with and for frontline communities, our team is delivering local impact with global effects. Our team redefines the way governments and international systems can support and scale existing solutions. We protect people from the worst impacts of climate change while laying the groundwork for transformative, scalable global action.
In partnership with our partners and key stakeholders, the Climate Resilience Center aims to reach 500 million people with resilience policy and adaptation finance solutions by 2030.
